"Your chair is a new product. Should I be concerned?"

While the Merlexi Craft™ chair is new to the market, we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure it will provide you with years of comfortable, reliable service. In exhaustive product testing at the respected University of Pittsburgh’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, the Merlexi Craft™ chair achieved record-breaking durability. In addition, the special plastics used in the chair have been field-proved in years of harsh automotive use.

Of course, the ultimate test standard is you. We invite you to try the Merlexi Craft™ series risk-free. We’re confident you’ll find it’s the most comfortable and reliable chair on the market.

“How is the chair different from other products?” 

The Merlexi Craft™ chair with its solid, contoured FormFold™ seating is the first wheelchair to offer foldable versatility without the drawbacks of uncomfortable sling seating.

The Merlexi Craft™’s advanced synthetic materials also provide unsurpassed durability and ultra-lightweight performance.

The Merlexi Craft™ wheelchair provides superior value. Merlexi Craft™’s warranted durability means you’ll enjoy years of low-cost performance without the high repair costs and hassles of other wheelchairs.

“What’s the product warranty?”

Turbo Wheelchair warrants the Merlexi Craft™ chair body, including all molded body parts made by the Company and the connecting hinges, against defects in material and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser. We warrant rear and caster wheels, axles and forks for five years from date of purchase by the original purchaser. With some limitations, Turbo Wheelchair will repair or replace warranted parts and labor free of charge. Complete details are available in our User Instruction manual (PDF, 1.5MB). 

“Where can I buy the chair?”

The Merlexi Craft™ wheelchair series is available direct from the manufacturer, Turbo Wheelchair, Inc. You can place your order online at http://merlexi.com, or if you prefer, you can call us 9-5 EST at 888–294-1348.

“How do I get service on their chair?“

To ensure quality, our central service lab coordinates all repairs. In the unlikely event your chair needs a repair, we have several convenient options available to serve you. For detachable parts such as wheels and footrests, overnight replacement shipping is available. For repairs to frame components, express shipping and loaner chair options are available.

“How can I get insurance or Medicare reimbursement for this chair?”

Submit our invoice to your insurance company with their reimbursement form. Call your insurance company for further instructions. We currently do not accept Medicare reimbursement.

 “I would think a plastic chair would be lightweight. How much does the chair weigh?”

The Merlexi Craft™ is a lightweight chair. The Liberty II chair weighs just 30 pounds with the front rigging removed. And when armrests and wheels are removed the body weighs just 19 pounds. This includes the weight of the solid, contoured FormFold™ seat that supplants the sling seating with other chairs

“How much weight will the chair hold?” 

Our chairs have been tested at the University of Pittsburgh and have been accepted by FDA as manual wheelchairs capable of holding 250 pounds.

“What are the chair’s dimensions when folded?”

 The Merlexi Craft™ chair is 13 inches wide when folded. It is 34 inches long with the footrests removed and is 35 inches at the rear handles.

“How do you ship me a chair?”

Turbo Wheelchair ships your Merlexi Craft™ chair to you UPS, assembled in a single convenient box that meets UPS shipping requirements.

"Do you offer financing or reimbursement assistance?"

Not at the present time, but we honor all major credit cards. We believe Merlexi Craft™ wheelchairs are an important investment and it is appropriate to use the financing options you already have through major credit cards to defer complete payment for your chair.

"What’s your return policy?”

You may return the chair within 30 days for a complete refund. You will find the best way is to return the chair via UPS in the carton provided. You must pay shipping for return. 

“What sizing adjustments are available on the chair?” 

Individual chair users will have different needs in the setup of the Merlexi Craft™ chair. The front and rear seat height, footrest extension and the seat depth of the Merlexi Craft™ chair can be adjusted to each individual needs by a combination of caster size, rear wheel and footrest placement and seat back placement. Your healthcare professional can guide you in establishing the best settings for your needs. Please see our User Instruction manual for individual settings.

“What type of maintenance does the chair require?”

Keep it clean and check it for wear and tear. Please see our User Instruction manual for details.
